Why Did I Love You, Nebuchadnezzar ?
From the poem series of ‘Nebuchadnezzar and his untold story’
There was a dream behind the gate of Ishtar
A dream began to form in the deepest field of existence
Have you seen it?
I have already seen
What you saw
I already known
What you knew
Behind the castles
Over the clock towers
This ever-timely existence brought you to me
Whereas you were a nothing sitting in your kingdom
I knew it all, but knowing never created a true path
Letting go has never become that easy
and taking it back has never become so hard
And everything we shared took such form in shadows
Universes came together, but they never did heal any wounds
We were speaking in another language
vibrating in another field
Between existing and not existing
Between disappearing and disappearing
Everything happened between the tree of life,
purple bunches, rose tree, tree of non-existence,
pains of existence, heartache, water leakage,
between acacias, silk tree, magnolias
And, you reached Babylon...so what?
The light of your kingdom has gone out
The emeralds in your heart are black now,
Your words had turned into white flowers now,
You withered them all, and
Now what?
You asked for prophecies from black panthers
You wished for love from high powers
But everything was inside you
There was a dream behind the Ishtar Gate
You saw the dream, so now what? .
And now you question yourself, and everyone is still silent
Why did they love you that much, Nebuchadnezzar?
